ASAI rebrands as Advertising Standards Authority
We’re delighted to introduce our new branding and name!
The Advertising Standards Authority has been serving the Irish public, government agencies and the advertising industry for over 40 years, and we are delighted to have a fresh new look to bring us into the future of advertising regulation in Ireland for years to come.
Our updated name and fresh new look aligns with our wider strategy to enhance our approach to fostering trust in the advertising landscape and demonstrates the invaluable industry expertise our organisation has amassed over the last four decades.
As the media landscape has evolved and utterly transformed over time, the Advertising Standards Authority has continued to remain the most authoritative voice of influence in relation to advertising standards. The new visual identity and shortened name will continue to reaffirm the organisation as the leader in this space.
Established in 1981, the mission of the Advertising Standards Authority is:
- To protect consumers and the public by setting and enforcing advertising standards, monitoring advertising, and taking action to remove advertising that is harmful, offensive, or misleading.
- To encourage care and compliance in the advertising industry through a combination of empowerment, enforcement, and education
- To collaborate with government and key stakeholders to ensure confidence in self-regulation
As we begin this new chapter, we will continue to uphold the highest standards of marketing communications, working with stakeholders to continually position the organisation as an innovative organisation that fosters trust in advertising for all.
