The Advertising Standards Authority is inviting individuals, organisations, industry stakeholders and members of the public to submit their views and suggestions for the Code before 9th May 2026.
The Code sets out the standards that advertisers, agencies, and media are required to follow and plays a central role in promoting responsible advertising and maintaining public trust in marketing communications across Ireland.
We are undertaking a review and refresh of the Code to ensure it continues to safeguard consumers from advertising that is harmful, offensive, or misleading. ASA’s review will take account of the advertising landscape which has evolved significantly in recent years, driven by changes in media consumption, the growth of digital platforms, and shifts in consumer behaviour.
As part of this review, we're asking for your thoughts and recommendations for the updated Code.
